Precautions for Using
Full Spectrum LED Grow Lights (1)
The full spectrum refers to the spectrum curve that includes ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light in the spectrum, and the ratio of red, green and blue in the visible part is similar to that of sunlight, and the color rendering index is close to 1. The spectrum of sunlight can be called the full spectrum. In the artificial light source, the mercury content is appropriately increased in the light-emitting arc tube of the arc discharge gas discharge lamp, thereby increasing the light energy of the ultraviolet light part, and adjusting the metal halide ratio to make the visible light part. The combination of wavelengths of each band is close to the solar spectrum, and the infrared light with wavelengths greater than 780 has a continuous spectrum and can last for more than 1000NM wavelengths.
The color temperature of sunlight changes with the four seasons and the time of morning and evening, so the spectrum of the full-spectrum lamp should change the color temperature successively with the change of time, and simulate the natural light environment in order to be more in line with the natural growth laws of organisms. The full-spectrum research and development of LED light sources has been going on internationally for many years, but the current technology is limited to the development of visible light in each band to achieve continuous spectrum and improve the color rendering index, but it is difficult to achieve continuous spectrum for ultraviolet and infrared light. The spectrum of each ultraviolet and infrared LED lamp bead is very narrow, limited to a specific band, and combined into a continuous spectrum, which is very difficult and expensive.
The LED plant light source is mainly composed of red and blue light sources, using the most sensitive light band for plants, and the blue wavelengths use 450-460nm and 460-470nm. Blue light is light with a relatively high energy wavelength between 400nm-480nm, which exists in a large amount in computer monitors, fluorescent lamps, mobile phones, digital products, display screens, LEDs, etc. The blue light in this wavelength will cause the macular area in the eye. The increased amount of toxins seriously threatens the health of our eyes.
